Michelle Gardner is a certified yoga teacher (CYT200, Chromatic Guide, at Chromatic School of Yoga). Having experienced how the thousands-of-years-old practice of yoga is helping her live an active and joyful life in her 50s, she was motivated to complete the 200-hour Yoga Teacher training program and is now excited to share and help others live mindfully and feel strong in their bodies.Experience the benefits of yoga through mindful breath connected to movement. This class is for those new or experienced with yoga and will focus on building strength and flexibility in both our bodies and minds. We will move through sequences in a Vinyasa flow style designed to energize and improve movement. Some postures will be held for a few breaths to help improve strength and balance. GOLF SMART - 2025 JUNIOR CLINIC PROGRAMWentworth Hills Country Club, Plainville, MACome join us this spring as we partner with Wentworth Hills Country Club for our JUNIOR GOLF CLINICS. This introductory program is designed specifically for boys and girls ages 8-14. The classes are perfect for both beginning juniors and those who want to improve existing skills. The clinics consist of four (4), 45-minute lessons over two weeks (conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons), which will cover safety, the golf swing with putter, irons and woods, short game, and golf etiquette. We are offering lessons from complete beginner to advanced players, as well as those looking to compete in tourneys.  Skill based teaching with students learning racket techniques, grips, paddle technology, ball technology from indoor to outdoor, strategy, positioning, singles strategy, doubles strategy, rules with all fundamentals.  Beginner: These classes are a great way for brand new players to learn the sport of Pickleball.  Players will learn all the basics to be able to play. We will cover equipment, unique lingo, score keeping, court position, and the fundamentals of serve, return, and the volley.Intermediate: Demonstrates a broad knowledge of the rules of the game. Gets high majority of serves “in” Able to serve and return serve deep. Hits to the weak side of opponent often. Demonstrates more strategies of playing during games.Paddles will be provided.The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel programs which do not support themselves. Add dimensions to your walking or jogging - do you like the idea of hiking but don't want to go alone?  Hiking is fantastic exercise as well as a great time to get some fresh air and explore new places. This class moves at a good pace - we'll be looking for hills! We will meet at various local locations every week (a list will be distributed).  First meeting location: F. Gilbert Hills State Forest, 45 Mill St, Foxborough, MA 02035.  F. Gilbert Hills, State Forest: 45 Mill St., Foxboro 02035 / From Norfolk center follow Rte. 115 south toward Foxboro. Stay on rte. 115 (crossing over route 1A at light) and turn left onto Pine Street. At lights turn right onto Route 1. Follow Route one for 1½ miles then turn left at lights on to Thurston Street. Follow Thurston for 1½ miles and turn left on to Mill Street (on left 2/10 of a mile after passing Normandy Farms). Follow Mill for 7/10 of a mile and park on the right at the Chapel Meeting House.Note: If conditions are icy “ice cleats” on shoes are strongly recommended. Having experienced how the thousands-of-years-old practice of yoga is helping her live an active and joyful life in her 50s, she was motivated to complete the 200-hour Yoga Teacher training program and is now excited to share and help others live mindfully and feel strong in their bodies.Experience the benefits of yoga through mindful breath connected to movement. This class is for those new or experienced with yoga and will focus on building strength and flexibility in both our bodies and minds. Add dimensions to your walking or jogging - do you like the idea of hiking but don't want to go alone?  Hiking is fantastic exercise as well as a great time to get some fresh air and explore new places. This class moves at a good pace - we'll be looking for hills! We will meet at various local locations every week (a list will be distributed).  First meeting location: F. Gilbert Hills State Forest, 45 Mill St, Foxborough, MA 02035.  F. Gilbert Hills, State Forest: 45 Mill St., Foxboro 02035 / From Norfolk center follow Rte. 115 south toward Foxboro. Stay on rte. 115 (crossing over route 1A at light) and turn left onto Pine Street. At lights turn right onto Route 1. Follow Route one for 1½ miles then turn left at lights on to Thurston Street. Follow Thurston for 1½ miles and turn left on to Mill Street (on left 2/10 of a mile after passing Normandy Farms). Follow Mill for 7/10 of a mile and park on the right at the Chapel Meeting House.Note: If conditions are icy “ice cleats” on shoes are strongly recommended. (They are available to purchase at several locations including “Bass Pro. Shop”, “L.L. Join Coach Melissa Bordieri this spring for an exciting 6-week youth field hockey clinic!Coach Bordieri, the head coach of Foxboro High School for the past 23 seasons, brings a wealth of experience and success to the field. With 5 league titles—including back-to-back championships in 2023 and 2024—Coach Bordieri is ready to share her knowledge and passion for the game with young athletes.This fun and fast-paced clinic is designed for both beginners and experienced players. Newcomers will learn the fundamentals of field hockey, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and game strategy, while returning players will continue developing their skills with small-game play and drills. 8th graders are highly encouraged to attend as a great way to prepare for high school tryouts and competitive play.
