Please wear sneakers, comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. snack bar will be open for socializing during the session. Come with a friend or make new ones!
Program is designed for older, active adults and is very popular in many communities It is not a new game, but one that is catching on very fast! Pickle ball is played by two teams of two and is scored similar to table tennis. The game is played w paddles and balls, similar to a wiffle ball. The court is about half the size of a tennis court, lending itself to faster action and quicker access to the ball.
" Ultimately if it leads to another form of Recreation, especially for our older, active residents, we are thrilled to offer it!" It is an athletic event program that can that can lead to a fun and social avenue. We are offering this program to promote active aging. It does not have the stress level of tennis, making great for all kinds of people, in terms of ability - even those with physical limitations - but be sure to seek a medical opinion should you need one. It tends to move as fast as the players play, therefore lending itself to a great aerobic exercise.
