Andrea, now home with two children, was a chef instructor at Boston University's School of Hospitality Administration for 10 years, former food service director of Normandy Farms Campground, and owner and chef of former "A Family Affair Catering." She now teaches culinary courses for the Recreation Department for both adults and children.
Andrea Kristenson, our resident chef, show your children how to make great food for any Super Bowl party and also another class of baking!
This class will teach your child some important bakeshop skills and recipes that they will have re-creating at home over and over again.
Baking from scratch is so much fun and there's nothing quite like the smell of a homemade cake or loaf of bread in the oven! In this class your child or teen will learn some special skills like kneading, rolling, & creaming -all while having fun! We will work with different baking tools and equipment, learn about measuring & ingredients, and even some baking lingo! They will leave confident and inspired, with recipes and their finished baked goods, to share with the family.
